Vale Decorators UK Limited demonstrates an overriding commitment to Health and Safety. We have not just one but two internal, directly employed Health and Safety qualified directors, both having diplomas in Occupational Safety and Health and are both members of the Institute of Risk and Safety Management. Appointed Health and Safety Director Robert Gribbin is also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
Our Health and Safety Management System is audited to ISO 18001 standards. We have held this accreditation since June 2009 and have been successfully audited without interruption annually since.
Health and Safety Directors produce and maintain our health and safety policies, procedures, site specific risk assessments and method statements. All employees are fully inducted on these Policies and Procedures at commencement of employment and ongoing training is provided on a continuous basis, via site inductions, toolbox talks, in-house training and any changes to legislation.
Our Health and Safety Directors are also responsible to assess the training requirements of all our employees ensuring that all staff are competent to carry out their duties, including but not limited to, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and Working at Height Training.
We have now achieved Construction Skills Certificate Scheme Gold status with 100% of management and operatives now holding a relevant CSCS Card.
Vale Decorators have numerous First Aiders throughout the organisation ensuring that there will be one available on every site.
Robert Gribbin CMIOSH MIIRSM has a zero tolerance to accidents and our commitment to Health and Safety is demonstrated in our considerably low accident rate with 4 consecutive completely accident/incident free years.
We have now achieved the following Health and Safety Accrediations. Construction Skills Certificate Scheme Gold status with 100% of management and operatives now holding a relevant CSCS Card, Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS), SAFE Contractor and Constructionline.
